Buying new equipment - Budget 10 000 Euros

Spending only 10 000€ means buying basic equipment. A white board is needed, because they do replace black boards in nearest future. They are quite handy not only in FLE but in Maths as well. We should own at least one interactive whiteboard.

DVD players and screens are meant for watching movies. It is a good training for foreign language learners to watch movies in the target language. As well they can be used for watching documentations and learn about culture issues.

The laptops and software including the access to online resources build a basic level if you cannot afford a new media room. Pupils can do some research by using the laptop as well as work with text programs and office programs.

Why would I buy these things? The computers, master eye tool, software packages, printers, speakers, microphones and online resources are needed to build another new media room. Especially when it comes to learning a foreign language, it is needed to check one’s pronunciation. This is what we need the microphones and speakers for. Cultural aspects build another part of FLE. We do need to have access to the internet and to online resources to find out about cultural aspects. Printers are needed to print out the results.

The Whiteboards are needed to create a more modern classroom. Whiteboards are very useful in FLE, because you can for example play videoclips or else.

Electronic dictionaries replace printed dictionaries. Pupils can use them during an exam and find words more easily and quickly.

Laptops are handy when you need some information from the web but do not want everyone to sit n front of a computer or if the new media room is blocked.

Video cameras can be used to film role plays to analyze them afterwards. Pupils can see themselves and realize what they do wrong. Additionally they can be used for projects or for the film group.
